Dear all readers.
The content of two news cover that is less than a year apart is quite interesting. An article in Bangkokbiznews on April 22, 2024 stated, "From the end of 2023 to the beginning of 2024, BIG4 laid off a total of 9,000 employees. Bloomberg News Agency reported the demand for consulting jobs is decreasing due to high fees in contrast to the sluggish economy. BIG4 has begun to focus on technology consulting and data analytics services instead, as it has a better growth trend in the era when AI has begun to replace traditional consulting jobs, Another news, published in the Bangkok Post on February 18, 2025, mentioned: "Thailand's accounting, tax, and financial advisory markets are expected to be valued at 20-25 billion baht and grow at a rate of 5-6% per year. While Big 4 companies hold 85% of the market, Forvis Mazars aims to increase its market share from 2.5% to 3.5% to maintain its position as the fifth largest company in the industry. Currently, the company has revenue of about 600 million baht and continues to grow strongly at the double-digit level."
Therefore, it is necessary to further analyze in detail the market trend of Thailand in 2025 and 2026 to see which direction it is going both in terms of professional service types and target market groups in order that each office can plan to cope with the recruitment or relocation of personnel as well as adjust the size of the organization to respond to changes in a timely manner.
I would like to reiterate that the accounting profession is in a state of great transition. Please do not be careless and plan well to be ahead of the changes.

เนื้อหาสองข่าวที่ห่างกันไม่ถึงปีนี้นับว่า น่าสนใจ บทความหนึ่งในกรุงเทพธุรกิจเมื่อวันที่ 22 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2567 ระบุว่า “ตั้งแต่ปลายปี 66 ถึงต้นปี 67 BIG4 มีการเลิกจ้างพนักงานรวม 9,000 คน สำนักข่าว Bloomberg ระบุว่าความต้องการงานที่ปรึกษาลดลงเรื่อย ๆ จากค่าธรรมเนียมราคาสูงสวนทางกับเศรษฐกิจที่ยังชะลอตัว BIG4 เริ่มหันมาให้ความสำคัญกับงานที่ปรึกษาด้านเทคโนโลยีและบริการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแทน เนื่องจากมีแนวโน้มการเติบโตดีกว่าในยุคที่ AI เริ่มเข้ามาทดแทนงานที่ปรึกษาแบบเดิมแล้ว” ส่วนอีกบทความหนึ่งตีพิมพ์ใน Bangkok Post วันที่ 18 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2568 พูดถึง “ตลาดการบัญชี ภาษี และที่ปรึกษาทางการเงินของไทยคาดว่าจะมีมูลค่า 20-25 พันล้านบาท และเติบโตในอัตรา 5-6% ต่อปี ในขณะที่บริษัท BIG4 ถือครองตลาด 85% Forvis Mazars ตั้งเป้าที่จะเพิ่มส่วนแบ่งการตลาดจาก 2.5% เป็น 3.5% เพื่อรักษาตำแหน่งบริษัทที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับ 5 ในอุตสาหกรรม ปัจจุบันมีรายได้ประมาณ 600 ล้านบาท และยังคงเติบโตอย่างแข็งแกร่งในระดับเลขสองหลัก”
ดังนั้นคงต้องวิเคราะห์ในรายละเอียดเจาะลึกต่อไปว่าแนวโน้มตลาดในไทยปีนี้และ ต่อเนื่องไปถึงปี 2569 จะมีทิศทางไปทางใดในแง่ประเภทบริการวิชาชีพบัญชีและกลุ่มตลาดเป้าหมาย ทั้งนี้เพื่อที่แต่ละสำนักงานจะได้วางแผนการสรรหาหรือโยกย้ายสายงานบุคลากร พร้อมทั้งปรับขนาดองค์กรให้เหมาะสมรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ทันท่วงที
ย้ำอีกรอบว่า วิชาชีพบัญชีอยู่ในสภาวะที่ต้องปรับตัวขนานใหญ่ ขอให้ทุกท่านไม่ประมาทและวางแผนเตรียมความพร้อมล่วงหน้าก่อนการเปลี่ยนแปลงจะมาถึง
